Topic: File
selection
If you have selected the Back up single
files option, this takes you to the file selection step.
Here, you select all files that you want BackUp Maker to
include in the backup operation.
Tab
sheet: Files
Click the Files tab to select files
you want to save.
Object: File list
The file list contains all the
files that you have selected for your backup. Use
the Add and Delete buttons to add more files, or
to remove any unwanted files from the list.
Alternatively, for removing files you can also
use the Del key on your keyboard.
Button: Add
Clicking on the Add button opens
the customary Windows Open file dialog box. If
you wish to add a single file, double-click on
it. If you wish to add several files, select them
one after the other (by keeping the Shift or the
Ctrl key down), and click on the Open button.
Button:
Delete
If you wish to remove any files
from the list, select them and then click on the
Delete button. To select several files, use
either the Shift or the Ctrl key on your keyboard
to mark a block of files or several individual
(dispersed) files. Alternatively, use the Del key
on your keyboard to delete highlighted files.
Tab
sheet: Folders
Click the Folders tab to select
folders you want to save.
Button: Add directory
Click on the Add directory button
(folder icon with the plus sign on the left,
above the folder list) to add folders to the
list. Enable the "Recursively: Back up
folders and its subfolders checkbox if you want
to include all subfolders of the selected folder.
Confirm your selection by clicking on Apply.
Button: Delete directory
To remove highlighted folders from
the folders list, click on the Delete directory
button (the folder icon with the minus sign above
the folder list).
Note: Recursively
"Recursively" means that
all subfolders and their files are backed up
together with the selected folder. If you wish to
change the selection, double-click on a folder in
the folder list.
